Gawura School

Changes lives through learning

ABOUT GAWURA

Gawura is a Kindergarten to Year 6 school for local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children located in Sydney's CBD.

We want all students to get onto pathways and follow their dreams. Gawura students learn in small classes, with culture and language woven into every part of the day. We offer all Gawura students a scholarship to St Andrew's Cathedral School for their secondary education.

Thanks to our donors, 14 students have finished Year 12. One graduate is undertaking a PhD, another studying at Oxford University and one has commenced a medical degree

Applications for 2021 close on 1 August. Spots are available in Kindergarten, Year 5 and Year 6.

Thank you . . . .

To everyone who contributed to our appeal.

Gawura scholarships are open
